Contributor of the Year-Lifetime Achievement
We would like to congratulate Greg Lafleur as our Contributor of the Year- Lifetime Achievement.
Greg LaFleur has dedicated a lifetime to the sport of gymnastics. His family was recognized at the 2011 USA Gymnastics Business Conference for their extraordinary accomplishments, contributions, and commitment to the sport of gymnastics.
Greg has generously volunteered many hours to our state of Wisconsin, Region 4, and USA Gymnastics. He served on the State Board, the National Elite Program Committee, has been a clinician at Region 4 Congress and National Congress. He has also been voted Wisconsin Coach of the Year multiple times for both the boys and girls. Greg has helped many gymnasts receive college scholarships and win National, and even International titles; including winning gold at the Jr. Pan Am games. But what stands out more than Greg’s accomplishments, is his kindness, generosity and lasting impressions he has on his gymnasts and coaching colleagues.
Thank you Greg for all you have done for the sport of gymnastics in Wisconsin!

Level 6-10 and Xcel State Meets Cancelled
USA Gymnastics has cancelled all sanctions for the month of March. All state meets held in March are cancelled. This includes the Level 6-10 state meet and the Xcel state meet. Decisions regrading refunds for state meets and whether Regionals will be held are currently being discussed.
Below is the letter from USA Gymnastics regarding this issue.
Dear USA Gymnastics Members,
Like many of you, we have become increasingly concerned with how the evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation could affect our community. Please know that the health and well-being of our athletes and community continues to be our organization’s top priority.
With that in mind, we have already limited travel for USA Gymnastics staff and national team athletes and staff, provided guidance from the CDC and WHO to our community, and urged our leaders and meet directors in each state and region to cancel events in areas of heightened concern.
Now, as we have learned more about how best to protect our community, we have made the decision to cancel USA Gymnastics’ events and event sanctions, at least through the end of March.
We recognize that this is a challenging time for our community, and that many of you will have questions about how this decision might impact postseason competition or your individual gym. Our program leadership teams are working to provide additional guidance and will be reaching out to you in the days and weeks to come.
While we know that disruptions and cancelations are not ideal, this decision was reached in service of our commitment to our community’s health and well-being. We appreciate your commitment to each other, and everyone’s efforts to make the best of this tough situation.
We will continue to monitor the situation and update our guidance as the situation evolves.
Sincerely,
Li Li Leung
President & CEO, USA Gymnastics
