2019 Regional Petition Information
As we near our qualifying meets for Regional Championships we would like to remind everyone of the procedure to petition to a Regional Meet.
1. The only two reasons for Regional petitions are illness or injury. Please do not send a petition for any other reason. They will not be accepted.
2. The athlete must have a meet with a MINIMUM All Around score of 1.0 over the qualifying score of the Regional Meet.
3. The petition must include the Illness/Injury Petition Form, which can be found in the “Forms” section of the Region 4 website, a copy of the results to verify 1.0 or more over the qualifying score, and a note from a LICENSED medical professional that verifies the injury, and the DATE that the athlete may return to activity.
4. You must notify the appropriate person of your intent to petition by the end of Monday following the meet.
5. You must get all paperwork listed in #3 to the appropriate person by the end of Wednesday following the meet.
6. All JO petitions, 6 & 7 and 8-10, must be submitted to the RTC, Linda Thorberg – [email protected]. All Xcel Petitions must be submitted to the RXCC, Megan Robinson – [email protected].

U113: USA Gymnastics Safe Sport Policy Course
Subject: DEADLINE IN 6 DAYS – U113: USA Gymnastics Safe Sport Policy Course USA Gymnastics has launched a new course requirement for the 2021-2022 season, the U113: USA Gymnastics Safe Sport Policy Course. The primary goal of this training is to look at the updated components of the USA Gymnastics Safe Sport Policy. The course covers the jurisdiction of USA Gymnastics Safe Sport, the U.S. Center for SafeSport, membership requirements, duty to report misconduct, and the required Prevention Policies. This course is an online course offered free of charge that requires approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. This new educational requirement must be completed by November 1, 2021. If the course is not completed in 6 days, by the November 1 deadline, individual’s memberships will go into a pending status. No Head Tax For 2018-19 Optional Invitationals
There will be no head tax for optional invitationals during the December 2018 – May 2019 season. At this time, the head tax will be reinstated for the 2019 compulsory qualifier season. Clubs hosting competitions still need to send in the sanction report form and Proscore ” Meet Summary” to [email protected].

Congratulations to Jane Shrimpf! She has been voted as this year’s Contributor of the Year for her efforts to organize volunteers for the 2020 American Cup and assisting with 2019 Xcel State and 2019 Compulsory State.

USA Gym Wisconsin State Administrative Committee Nominations
We are currently seeking nominations for State Administrative Committee members. The term is two years in length beginning July 1, 2019. 5 committee positions need to be filled. The following current board members have indicated they wish to remain on for another 2 year term.

If no new nominations are received, the existing committee members will serve another 2 year term. If new nominations are received, an election will be held and the top 5 candidates will serve on the committee.
